What is a labor/birth doula?
A labor or birth doula is a non-medical support person who is trained to assist the mother and family through the pregnancy and labor process. In pregnancy, doulas can be great resources for any pregnancy, birth, and postpartum questions you may have. Doulas are trained to provide many different comfort measures and can be great assets to the birth team. Doulas can help in any type of delivery.
